Hi,
I have asked a similar question here before, and got an answer. But
since then I've learned some new things, so I'm posting this again.
My mother was admitted to the US on a parole. She's gotten her GC
since, but all together it took over 2 years from the time she came.
When can a parolee apply for a citizenship? Conventional withdom says
- 5 years after getting GC. But I heard multiple times that there's
been an ammendment to some regulations, which makes parolees equal to
refugees in this case, letting them apply 5 years after entering the
country. Apparently ther ammendment passed in October of 2000. Can
anyone shed some light here?
Thanks
Dmitry
