Hi!
My daughter(8 years old) lives in the United States with her mother(my ex-wife).
I want to visit my child. I`ve heard that I need an invitation letter.
So my question is:
Should this invitation letter be from my ex-wife, or it could be from
any person in the USA where I`m planning to stay during my visit?
And what should be in this invitation letter?

Thank U in advance!

What better reason than to visit your kid? Would definitely help if she could
write you a letter too...should help you get the visa

Do you need an actual passport visa? If so, I think it would be fine to
have the invitation letter written by your ex-wife. Here is a kind of
format: http://www.immigrationlinks.com/news/newshints66.htm.

If you are from a visa waiver country, you don't really need an invitation
letter, although you could get one to have on hand, not to volunteer, but
only to show if questioned closely. See http://travel.state.gov/vwp.html.
