I hope I am just worrying about nothing:) I got married in USA and
have gone through everything correctly, my 2 years are almost up and I
am supposed to apply for my permanent green card. I have however been
out of the country for a few months due to family problems and will
not be returning until 2 months before my current green card expires.
I plan on applying for the permanent (without conditions) green card
upon my return. My question is - will I have a problem at the airport
coming into America with only 2 months left on my permanent resident
card? My passport is ok, I have a few years left on it, is it possible
I may have any problems at customs/immigration? Thanks for your input.

If you have not been away for more than a year and have not abandoned
your US residence there should be no problem

don't forget to ask for the removal of your conditions ;-)
