I currently live in Nebraska. Last year my husband's son came to live with us, a temperary stipulation was sign by both parties to let his son decide what he wanted to do, and signed by the judge.
In the stipulation my husband and his ex wife agreed that during the time his son was to live with us neither part would pay child support and he would have legal custody. By the time the agreement was signed, sent to the court, signed by the judge, sent to the state, and the order to stop withholding support from his check was sent through, 4 months had gone by. We paid in quite a bit of money for support while his son lived with us and his mother paid us nothing.
I have contacted the state and they varify that his ex-wife was over paid by a substantial amount, but they only enforce collecting the money not making her pay it back.
If anyone knows what my husband's rights are it getting this money back I would appreciate hearing from you.
