I'm in Arkansas. My husband and I have been married for less than a year and we are both full-time students. He has two daughters from a previous marriage and I have one son from a previous marriage. His ex wife has been causing problems since day one and takes any opportunity to threaten to take us back to court for more support even though we're barely making it on our own. My husband works part-time right now, but the good news is that he will be graduating in a year so he will have a full-time teacher's position to pay better support for his children. (we do follow visitation properly also)

The thing is that I am a pre-med student and I won't be graduating for 2 years and then I have 4 years of med school. I have big dreams of having my own clinic, spa, skincare line, and eventually a high-end hotel chain. My husband however just wants to be a coach and nothing more.

My husband and I are both worried that his ex will try and make my earnings tie in with his somehow. Is that possible if they're my businesses? Is there a step that I should take to prevent that, such as some kind of written agreement done by a lawyer? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
