Hello, my dad has broken his left hand at work. The administrator at his job told him that they will only be able to pay 60% of his pay check. Is this legal in Texas? If so, is there anything he can do about it? Thanks in advance

Why are they withholding pay? Are they saying he is not being paid for the full work period and days not paid? Or is he being put on disability leave and disability pay is 60% of his normal pay. You need to find out. If this is not because of unworked days or disability pay, I suggest calling or contacting the Texas Department of Labor. You may need to file a disability or workers compensation claim against the employer and start that process
