Hello,
If I received a speeding ticket in NJ USA but live in Ontario Canada,
do I have to pay the ticket? What happens to my insurance? I was
going 84mph in a 65 mph zone.
Thanks.

and the cop didn't make you pay the fine on the spot? You're lucky, I had
to pay $150US cash in SC for a speeding ticket. I say don't pay if you
haven't already.

I don't think you were paying the cop for the "speeding ticket" ;)

It's suprising that they didn't make you pay on the spot. I got two
speeding tickets in the US in the past 3 years. In Ohio they made me
pay on the spot, with credit card. They actually took Visa, Master
and Amex, which is a heck of a lot better than MTO ;-) In KY it was
the same thing but they only took visa and the cop took a long time to
process it. Anyways, they gave me an official receipt of payment in
both cases. They also did not want cash.
NY has a reciprocal agreement with ON.
A friend of mine got a ticket in PA about 2 years ago and he hasn't
heard from them or seen anything on his driving record yet. He didn't
pay.
I would wait to see if anyone responds on the NJ-ON agreements, if
they exist you best pay or it will come back to haunt you. They might
end up waiting and then just send a conviction notice & non-payment to
Ontario and have your license suspended.
Good luck! - I'm trying to fight an Ontario ticket ;-)

That's pretty funny.
We enforce speed limits for safety. All major credit cards accepted. ;)
