You all may remember my situation...my stepson's mother picked him up for visitation and refused to bring him back. Due to an error by the court system and our attorney, our case was dismissed and she was able to get away with this for a while. Well, we now have my stepson back in our household and have for two weeks today. Mom has had visitation with him since he has been back. Apparently, she has not and still does not have an attorney to represent her. Currently, the order by the courts is that my husband has temporary custody until our court hearing on November 14th. This order also includes the child support situation and she is ordered to pay $25 a week...yes that is all for now...and she is now refusing to pay that measly $25 a week and says she is not entitled to do so until we go to court. I know that this is bull but what can I do right now to ensure that she is paying us the support? Is there something that I can file? Currently, this support is NOT going through the prosecutor's office...it is supposed to be in "good faith"...ha ha.

Poohey on good faith, make her be responsible. She'll wish she shoul have paid the $25. Don't forget to mention her good faith when you go back to court, and keep all reciepts. :D

If you do not need it, I would not sweat it, but if you feel you need to do something, you can file a contempt motion with the court to notify them she refuses to pay support until the permanent hearing and ask them to order her to pay in the interim.
