 Weekly scheduel begins on thursday, How many days can an employee work before getting a day off??? I have been told that we can not work 9 days straight without at least a one day break in between? Is this the law in North Carolina????
According to my source no, NC has no such law. Frankly, few states do. A small handful of states require one day off out of every seven (which allows for working 12 days in a row) but NC does not appear to be one of them.
That being the case, there is no limit to the number of days an employee can be asked to work without a day off.

If you work certain types of jobs, there are Federal mandates that say how many days off you must have. An aircraft mechanic must have at least 4 days off each month. This is an FAA requirement.
Otherwise the state has given all the rights to the company. That's just the way it is.
Umm, that post was made over a year ago. It's not likely that the poster is still coming back looking for additional answers.
