[FONT=Tahoma]I need to understand the laws of custody I'm a mom Of twin girls who had been living with my parents due to reasons of conveince I worked late hours and their daycare was literally right around the corner from their house so my mom advised me it would be best for them and myself at the time their father lives two and a half hours away .....we had a verbal agreement of two weeks out the month he could have them since it was only day care and when he requested a month he recieved it but as of recent he picked up the girls for their month away and at the end of the month he informed me that he's not bringing them back :mad: I have filed a pettition for custody and so has he in appommattox county. My girls were being supported and raised my parents and I since I split with their father I have needed help from social services as well....well does he even have a leg to stand on ??? their lives have been in richmond, va since their birth will a judge support his actions?? and since we both have opened up cases what is the likelhood of the case being heard in appomattox verses richmond???? pleaes help me
