On July 1st 2005 I was terminated from Fulton county jail for not following call out procedures on the day I was terminated I spoke with my supervisor and advised her that I wasn’t able to clock in and out and that I hadn’t turn in my timesheet being that it was due until that next monday. She then told me that my payroll check should be in the amount of all monies owed I informed here that it wasn’t. She told me she would speak to the human resources lady about it.The following Monday the lady called and left me a voice message stating that my supervisor said I had some questions. I called her back and left a voice mail about my paycheck she never called me back. I have called her several times and she hasn’t returned any of my phone calls. What should I do to get my Last paycheck?

Unfortunately, Georgia is one of the few states that has no laws regarding the release of a final paycheck. I can only suggest that you continue trying to make contact.

If you have not received your final check by the next regular payday after your last day of work, give the GA DOL a call and see if they have any suggestions for you.
