I am currently on leave due to my pregnancy. My "paid" disability ended in June. I am supposed to report back to work next week, however am not ready to report back to this employer due to stress they are causing me with my job. My doctor may put me out on stress disability. Does anyone know if this is considered "paid disability"? Thank you for the information...

Do you mean that your stress is caused by your job? Stress may be considered as a valid workers' compensation claim, but it depends on your particular situation and the insurer. If it is considered to be a valid workers compensation claim, you may be able to recover workers compensation. As far as a short-or-long-term disability policy, it depends on the insurer. However, while it may be covered under the short term policy, it probably wouldn't be covered by the long-term policy. That is because, in most long-term policies, you have to be permanently prevented from working in a job.
Let me know if you have other questions.
