I work for a company that just implimented vacation benefits. It says that after 1 full year of employment an employee gets 1 full week (40 ) hrs of vacation pay. My boss is retroacting any hours that have been accrued in the past year to go against this new policy. So, before I signed the addendum, I took 3 days vacation since January. Is it legal to consider those 3 days as vacation against this new benfit and I will only receive 2 more days from now until December 31? Even though this policy is set in place in the middle of the year? Is the company allowed to retroactivate my paid time off?
