I cannot answer this question as you should consult the TX child support guidelines policy and interpretive sections, but generally the court will jsut apply the best interest of the child standard. In most cases, fathers are not equipped adequately to be able to deal with newborns and infants on overnight visits on their own. If you can prove that you have adequate knowledge of what to do and will have support on-site and there from a knowledgeable family member, would probably help if this is a mother, sister, aunt or person with experience as a mother, then you may be able to overcome that presumption. It is not set in stone, this attitude, but you should be able to overcome it if you have a realistic plan to show you can provide for the child's needs in a proper way.
