I live in Indiana and work for a small company. I was just wondering if it was legal for my employer to bank my hours. I sometimes work over 40 hours a week. The company pays us every two weeks but I never get paid over 80 hours. I could work 100 hours in a week(hypothetically) but only get paid for 80 hours every two weeks. Granted when I take a day off I do get those banked hours added to my check to make an even 80 hours, but I feel they aren't doing me a favor because I have already worked those hours. I have been told that they cannot do this to me, but I can't seem to find anything to tell me otherwise. Please anything you can do to assist me, any website you could direct me to would be wonderful.
