I am currently employed in housing maintenance where my job is to get homes ready for new occupants. I have a qc manager who inspects the houses and is purposely breaking things in the unit that were properly repaired by myself. I am the only employee that he does this to. Other emplyees have noticed that he singles me out. Is he just jealous!!! I have been told by top management time and time again that I am their best technician.I have talked to top management on different occasions about this his inspection methods but currently nothing is being done. I feel like I am being singled out and harrassed but don't know my options if this continues. Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately, every large company has some unenlightened managers among the ranks. It sounds like you have one. It is illegal behavior if the person(s) are taking the actions against a person due to their age, disability, national origin, pregnancy status, race, religion, gender and in a few states, their sexual orientation. (Some states have other protections.)

If he/she is acting this way against you for that reason, you'll have a legitimate complaint that may be filed with the US eeoc. You can learn more about filing discrimination complaints by looking at their website eeoc.gov

Also, why don't you catch this person dong these things. Ask someone (preferably someone more senior in the organization) to do an inspection of the apartment before the qc person gets there. You need to do this quietly and without letting anyone else know. Then, when the qc person sabotages your work, you will have a witness that you were not negligent in your responsibilities.

Let me know if you have any questions.
