Either an exempt or a non-exempt employee can be required to work as many hours a day as the employer wishes, unless there is a bona fide contract that says otherwise. The only difference the exempt status makes is that the non-exempt worker has to be paid overtime for any hours over 40 in a week, and the exempt employee does not. enforce 03-04-2006, 11:23 PM im sorry for the wrong information, thanks for clearing it up. |
