If a customer breaks a product in a supermarket, let's say a box of Corona beers, who is responsible? Is the customer required to pay for the broken wine or will the supermarket manager let the customer free?

The customer would be required to pay the store the replacement cost of the item. If the store buys the product for $1 and sells it for $2, then customer would owe them $1.

In practice, most stores would not require customer to pay.

If the customer refused to pay, the store would have to sue them. Over a dollar.
