If a customer breaks a product in a supermarket, let's say a box of Corona beers, who is responsible? Is the customer required to pay for the broken wine or will the supermarket manager let the customer free?

If the store buys the product for $1 and sells it for $2, then customer would owe them $1. In practice, most stores would not require customer to pay.
