State law will govern the property for the state it is located in. It is possible to place real estate into a trust, but that may not be practical as it may require re=titling of assets in some instances. You should consult a legal professional before placing your property in a trust. Also, many mortgage companies will not allow a property to be put into a trust, and may accelerate debt if you do that.
