I live in California and own RE in Idaho an Utah. For asset protection purpose, should I form an LLC in california, or do I have to do it in each state?
Can I put all the RE under one LLC, or is it state depndent?

LLc's are created by state law. You would need to register the LLC in each state in which you own land that you plan to put into the LLC.
