Out of interest I recently checked the timeline for K-visa processing on
USCIS' website and compared the 4 service centres. Cali, Nebraska and
Vermont all seem to be processing from March this year already while
texas is showing that they are only currently processing from Aug 2004!
Is this an accurate timeline for Texas, and if so how the heck can they
be so far behind the other 3 service centres in processing times? Who
wants to wait 8+ months for a K visa from Texas SC when the others seem
to be processing in 3!
Is anyone in this kind of processing delay through the Texas SC?

Just to make your post a little more clear for those reading it....you
are actually checking the timeline for the I-129F fiance visa petition
processing times. It's not the K-visa "yet". ;)

er, the people who live in the TSC district? We don't get to choose
where we file to.
The good news is, TSC has been forwarding fiance and spouse petitions to
California. The transfer is nearly instantaneous and then you would use
the CSC processing dates.

Hey Mo, thanks for your input.
So if TSC are transfering/forwarding fiance and spouse petitions to CSC,
what would a realistic timeline be? Bearing in mind that they still have
their own petitions to file! :)

Hmm. One good answer I've read here (applied to something else, but just
as accurate here:
"one week to one year."
Another good answer is: How long is a piece of string?
Barring any complications, I-129fs seem to be clearing CSC in 2 months
or so, but playing the timeline game is a fool's errand. Hang in there
pal, save your money now, while you can, and start researching all your
'landing' info, like driver's license, marriage license, how to get your
Social Security number 'n stuff. The time *will* fly, if you are busy.
