Myself (UKC) andmy wife (USC) wehave gone the I-130 route and so far we have
had our I-130 approved etc and on the 6th March sent the Visa Processing Fee
back to the St Louis Facility (As requested by NVC). We are now awaiting
them to send the I-184 forms to my wifes address in the USA and also to
recieve the DS230 part 1. Calling NVC on the automated number shows that
they are still "generating the fee letter and should recieve it shortly".
How long should this process be taking now? How soon would it be on average
before all forms are sent to getting that interview at the London Embassy?

Here's our timeline for the London Embassy. May give you an idea of how long
it's taking.
1. 07/09/04 - Received I-130 NOA2 from Nebraska
2. 22/10/04 - Received DS-3032 and $65 bill for I-864 from NVC. Bill
must be paid before they process 1-864.
3. 23/10/04 - Mailed check for I-864 $65 to NVC. Wrote letter advising
them I was now residing in Georgia and wished to have my interview at the
London Embassy visa department..
4. 23/11/04 - Received $335 bill for processing spousal visa form
DS-230 from NVC. Bill needs to be paid before they process the form.
5. 24/11/04 - Mailed cashier's check for $335 to NVC
6. 20/12/04 - Received form DS-230 plus instructions from NVC. I need
to complete it and return it together with a barcode sheet and a photocopy
of the biographical page from my passport. Also included in the package is a
list of the items I need to get together to take to the interview in London.
These are:
________________________________
1. Birth certificates
2. Police certificates
3. Deportation papers
4. Court and prison records
5. Military records
6. Marriage certificates
7. Termination of prior marriages
8. Translations.

13. 27/12/2004 - Mailed completed DS-230 to NVC. We now begin organizing
the documents we will take to London.
14. 24/01/2005 - Received notification from the NVC that our case had now
been transferred to the London Embassy. One other thing, the letter makes a
point of stating that we should have the last three years tax records ready
for the London interview, even though it doesn't mention any other items.
15. 10/02/2005 - Received packet four from the London Embassy with an
appointment date for an IR-1 of 30th March 2005. Comprises of list of items
to take with me (see above list), DS-230 part two, and the medical
questionnaire. One thing that caught my eye; it says that when filling out
the DS-230 I should use the words NOT APPLICABLE and not the shortened
version of N/A. This would not be accepted if used.

Thanks, appreciated.
Hopefully shouldnt take too long then. We originally filed in Nebreska where
we should have done for Utah but they sent it to California for the I-130 so
that seemed to have speeded things up too so far. as our whole process
started in November 2004
