i live in michigan, and i'm wondering what the law is on maternity leave for part-time workers. i will have only been with this employer for about 3 months total by the time i finally take my maternity leave. i know it won't be paid for, but what are the laws on how much time i'm allowed to take while still being able to keep my current position?

Both US and Michigan laws protect pregnant women by requiring that pregnant women are treated the same as any other employee who has a medical condition. There aren't any laws that guarantee time off for a woman who is pregnant who has only been with her employer for 3 months.

I'm sorry for that news. Let me know if you have any questions.
