I am going through a difficult time with an abusive ex boyfriend and father of my child. We have been split now for 3 months and I have custody of our child. Now I have been receiving phone calls from his family, they say that they are going to kick my *** and many other things. They harrase me all hours of the night and even at my job. They have been threating to come to my job and I don't need that. One- it's none of their business about the problems of me and my babies daddy. Two- I have already filed charges, but nothing has come of it. I filed them about 2 1/2 months ago and heard nothing since.

Contact the police about the threats. They may be able to record your line. You also may need to get a restraining order to keep your boyfriend and his family away from you, the child and your place of work, if things do not get better. The police will take your statement and investigate, and hopefully the follow up of that will send the message to leave you alone and the police can reinforce that. Otherwise, a restraining order may be in order if you feel physically threatened with harm.

i would record all of the phone calls and threats and contact police and legal aide. also, speak with HR at your place of employment and alert them of what's going one. you'd be suprised as to how many employers who assist in situations like this, check your employee handbook to see if they have any information. especially since their bothering you on your job. carry a tape-recorder with you and if you are approached, let them know that you are recording everything that is being or will be said and or done. good luck :(
