I work for a company in Texas that requires me to work 50 hours per week. I am salaried and get no comp time or overtime pay. I was told this is legal for restaurant managers in this state (?). I do work for a restaurant based company, however the department I work for is completely seperate from the actual restaurant itself. I don't want to "rock the boat" and lose my job by asking around the company. Any help? Thanks!

P.S. I am an "exempt" salaried employee.

Hi,
Exempt employees do not get paid overtime and do not have to be paid comp time in Texas.

I live in Texas and was wanting to know if my employer can have us clock in and out with a time clock, we get a set salary and are paid on th 15th & 30th, we don't get paid overtime, so I am asuming that we are considered expemt employees, we also sign a two year contract with the employer. Help please and Thank you!!!!

As I said in the other place where you posted this question, it is perfectly legal for an employer to require exempt employees to clock in and out.
