At my job, if an employee punches in at 9am and then is supposed to punch out at 5pm, but forgets to, he/she is charged five dollars because the payroll lady has to adjust the time. Is this legal?Also, anytime we make a mistake punching in or out, we are charged 5 dollars. We punch in on this computer. When we punch out for our breaks, we put in our password and punch out for break. When our 30mins is over, we punch back in. But if we forget to punch in, we are charged five dollars. How is this legal? :confused:
