Big Troubles

Large company based in New England (Ma) but worldwide prescence.
I work for a woman who has by far the highest employee turnover rate in the company. Her latest kick is to be cruel to her female employess (focuses on one person and verbally/mentally abuses them) until they quit. I'm the third one in a row inside the last 3 years. These were not sub-par or incompetent employees. One has just gone on to nearly a director-level position. The more competent/happy/good-looking you are, the bigger a target you seem to be for this woman.
I'm extremely professional and I thought I could weather this. She has just disciplined me formally and followed up after 30 days saying that my work hasn't improved. My work is fine (great in fact!), this is a subjective assessment with her as the only judge.
I'm on summer vacation this week, but get back on Monday morning. I'm sick over this whole thing as it is vicious and wrong.
What do I do?
