I was discharged from a company that employees very few women. The reason for termination was integrity, they said I had lied about a conversation that I had with accounting because they could not verify it and I could not remember a name. They also said I could not get along with others. I was in this new position for less than 1 year, it was basically an audit position in the field, so most field offices were very apprehensive about my visits. This company promotes mostly men in the 35 to 45 age range. Also have several examples of them hiring young, attractive women with no experience. I am not 40, had had no negative reviews in the past. New mgr did not like me. Do I have a case for discrimination?

If the same persons that had a role in your decision were the same that made the decision to terminate you, probably not. The theory behind the case law is that someone would not hire a person only to discriminate against them.

However, you may wish to talk with someone from the US EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) to discuss this further. You can find information on discrimination and how to file a complaint at www.eeoc.gov. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.
