There are some basic rules to follow. First, send money orders. Personal checks will not be accepted and it is unwise to send cash in the mail. The money order should include the following information: the inmate's first and last name, the inmate's date of birth/identification number, the institution and the name of the remitter. Money sent to an inmate will be credited to the offender's account within 24 hours of our receipt of funds (during normal business hours). Additionally, you may drop off a money order if you have a scheduled visit with the offender to whom the money is going. Funds delivered this way will be credited to the inmate's account within 24 hours of its receipt.
