Good Morning-
I had a question in regards to child support payments. My husband will (finally) be able to get one of his daughter's for this summer. We are having to pay her way there and back (she lives in Oregon). The ex says that he still has to pay FULL child support even though we'll have her for the 3 month summer. She won't take phone calls or even listen to compromise. Her excuse is that she has to hold her spot for daycare (ironic thing...her sister in law provides the childcare).
Who is in the right? If you were to calculate our bills; truck payments; rent; cost of the airfare; summer camps we want to take her to; the SMALL size of our paychecks...we can't possibly afford this, (he's paying approx $850 a month).
It's not about the money...it's the fact that the money we do send is not used for the children...they're sharing a twin size bed with a wooden board between the two of them so the older one doesn't roll over the younger child. All this while she buys a $1,000 treadmill.
Is there anything we can do to delay the child support for the summer since we'll have FULL care of her??
I'd appreciate any help.
THANK YOU!!!
