My sister works in Indiana as a Manager for a large restauant chain. Their is another manager who sets her schedule who has been scheduling my sister for 14 hr days, 6 days a week. Is this legal? Can a salaried employee be held responsible for working these in human number of scheduled hours a day with no additional compensation? Can a salaried employee refuse to work these hours with the backing of Indiana Labor Laws?

If your sister is an exempt salaried employer, her manager can require her to work whatever hours he/she needs, without any additional compensation.

Is it legal for a company that know's you work 50-60 hours a week and they tell you that you are only allowed to put down 40 on your time sheet is that legal. I am not on salary but need to know if this is legal for them to do?

Salaried employees can work more than40 hours per week. But if it is so excessive that health and safety is an issue, it becomes and OSHA, IOSHA and occupation health and safety matter.
