I am currently in limbo over an incident at work.
I was let go at my position in California on 3/31 for what they said is dishonesty(it was not). I was told to get all my stuff, and hit the road and that I would be allowed to work at my old position in Indiana.
After a long drive and lots of money spent, I get to Indiana and find out that I do not get to work there because of my "dishonesty".
I am still being paid and have not been terminated but they said they will now proceed with the termination.
Here is what is suspicious.
I was first told that I was in trouble on 3/30.
On 3/29, I witnessed some of the daily sexual harassment behaviors that occur in the office. A gay Male openly fondled a female employee. I made a comment that it is sexual harassment and that if I did it, I would be in trouble.
They said that because it was a gay male, it is ok because he is not aroused by it.
I never made any complaints, but now I feel that one of them went to Management to get me out of there in fear that I might make a complaint.

One single incident does not comprise sexual harassment. In fact, your comment about a gay male getting away with something than another wouldn't can be seen as potential harassment.

Your employer should have paid you your final pay at the time you left your position in California. If they did not, you may have a valid claim with the state. You can read about filing a claim at: http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/howtofilewageclaim.html
