I'm not sure what to do about this situation. I live in PA and I work part time for a motorcycle dealer. I'm a professional by day, so I am somewhat familiar with sexual harassment laws. I have been having some trouble with a male co-worker. It started about a month ago when he was written up because he was having a bad day and cussed at me and called me stupid in front of customers. Since this incident he has been trying to intimidate me. Last night he got up in my face. I questioned him about some names that he has called me behind my back. He got really nasty with me. He called me a B*tch, c*nt and said I was worthless. He was up in my face the entire time. A manager overheard this and went to our GM. Basically, he got a smack on the wrist and was told he was a bad boy. He denied everyhing (even though someone heard him say it) Last night as he left the parking lot he flipped me off then called a couple of my friends to call me some more names. Another co-worker is writing up this incident (he was one that was called last night) and turning it in to the owner today. I'm afraid of this man. The way he was looking at me and the way he talked to me was very threatning. Any advice on what I should do?

Thanks

Federal anti-discrimination laws, re: sexual harassment, covers employers of 15 or more employees. (I couldn't find the same information for Pennsylvania.) Does your employer have at least 15 employees? If so, you have a lot more "oomph" behind you.

Regardless of the force behind you, you need to talk with the GM privately. Let him/her know what is happening. Be sure to ask for help, rather than making demands. You are much more likely to get assistance.

Don't forget, if it looks like the situation is getting dangerous, be sure to go to the police for help.
