I am trying to modify child support in Texas, because of a new child and a large income decrease. The attorney for my ex wants this provision: "By signing this document agreeing to modify court-ordered child support, Respondent does not waive any rghts that she may have pursuant to that certain Agree Decree of Divorce dated /////// for any amount of contractual child support specified in the Decree. Respondent specifically reserves her right to pursue all remedies available to her pursuant to the relevant contractual terms of said Decree."

Any ideas what this means? Can't really figure out wha they might be up to....would like advice before signing.

Go to court and formally seek modification due to changed circumstances. They are saying they will still seek the old support and disregard the agreement if they sign it. Basically, they are going to go after you for the difference.
