View Full Version : MD - Will father get unsupervised visitation

My children and I were abandoned by their fatehr 3 yrs ago, he has not seen the children, nor is he current with support. He has been diagnosed Bi-Polar,,, I am worried that he will get unsupervised visitation. He lives in anotehr state. I can not even get him to sign divorce papers,,, HELP!!!!

As part of the divorce, and well I am not sure what state you are in, but based on the grounds of divorce, your husband may not need to sign the divorce papers. If there are issues with his competency in terms of understanding the divorce proceedings, that may be an issue.

Usually, during the divorce proceedings, matters of custody and visitatation and support are addressed. If you have concerns about your husband having unsupervised visitation, you should have that addressed with the court when you file for divorce with interim orders, then again in the decree regarding custody, visitation and support.
