Hi XXXXXX,
Thank you for aware me about the situation you mentioned on your email. If you have any questions regarding products, do not hesitate to ask somebody in customer service department to help you clarify the answers. If they do not want to help you, or you do not feel comfortable with them, you can let XXX, your current supervisor, to know about the situation, since customer service department is under him.
At XXX XXXXX, management does not have favoritism over any employee only because two people go to shows or fly heli together. You should not feel that your job is in jeopardy if you are doing your job well. As for that, you will need to ask XXX, your immediate supervisor, about your job performance.
I hope this can help.
Regards,
XXXXX XXXX

Good Morning XXXXX,
I need to make you aware of a situation that is going on. Last week I was taken aside in the break room by XXXXXX, he had told me that he had asked XXXXX to tell me, but XXXXX didn't think I would believe her, and she told him to tell me himself. He told me that XXXX has said to him that he is planning on logging everytime I ask him a question and keeping this log, then using this log against me by giving it to Jeff to show why he cannot make sales and that I have no product knowledge to be able to sell. XXXXXXXX told me to watch my back when XXXX starts his position in sales.
Then Tuesday 3/29/05 I was on the Phone with XXXXXX from XXXXXXX, he was asking me some questions about servos, I answered as much as I could, and asked XXXXXXX if he wanted to talk to Customer Service regarding the servos to see if they have more information. The same time I was on the phone, XXXXX walked past the sales dept on the way to the time clock, and he heard me asking XXXXX if he would like to be transfered. I could see XXXXX reflection from a picture frame that I have on my desk. He was shaking his head and pointing at me while looking at XXXXX. I asked XXXXX and she confirmed that he was doing what I had seen. ( this is not the only time XXXXX has used body language to show disappointment with the sales dept, there have been a few occasions that ither XXXXX or myslef had been asking mike a question while XXXXX is walking by and he shakes his head because we are not sure of the answer and we are obtaining help)
When I call back to customer service for help XXXX and XXXXXX both give attitude about asking them questions. I call back there and explain the issue to them and they will give me an answer that I don't understand myself, my customers usally need more clarification then the answer customer service gives me, I wouldn't transfer the call if I know and can be knowledgable, However most of the time when I call customer service it is something I don't know. Therefore I do transfer calls back there for them to answer. They both seem to have a problem with me transfering them call to answer technical questions. which I was told to do when I started working here. If I don't know the answer, give it to Customer Service, and have them transfer it back up to me. I do try my best to help my customers and that is why I transfer them to customer service.
We had a meeting some time back when XXX informed us that XXXX was going to be comming to our Dept., and I was happy that we were going to have someone who is knowledgable to join our team. On my break I went to ask XXXX when he is planning on joining our dept and he tried to act like he didn't know anything about comming to our dept. untill I told him XXXX told us in our meeting that he was joining the sales team. I asked him if he is taking over my position , jokingly of course, and he told me that he actually said to XXX that he wants XXXXX position, but XXX told him that he cannot just put him in our dept as a manager and it would take time, but he would give him a go at it, he has to prove himself.
This makes me feel that XXXXX is going to try to step on my toes, and walk on my back to get me fired so he can advance with the company, and I want to bring this to the table before it becomes an issue. Specially if he does become head of our department.
XXXX will be comming to our dept here in a few days, when he returns from the show. I am not the only one that is effected by this matter, he has also mentioned he will be doing this to my co-worker, Ms. Laura Lopez. This creates a hostile work environment when you have to feel that your position is in jepordy and that a co-worker is trying to show that you are not your best so they can advance.
If you have any questions I would like this to be a private matter. Please do not discuss this with the parties that are not envolved. I did not go to XXXX because I feel that HR can handle this. I am not trying to cause trouble at all , but I feel since XXXX hired XXXX into the sales position and XXXX goes to all the shows with XXXX and he does Fly heli's that there might be some favortism. and therefore I want it handled by HR, not my Manager.
Thank you
