I work at albertsons in oklahoma in the floral department. Yesterday I was told that since I am pregnant that they are going to hire someone else and cut back my hours. Is this legal? Can I complain on them? I plan on telling them to go to hell and quitting so any advice soon would be great!! Thank you!

If you go to this website, http://www.afscme.org/otherlnk/weblnk21.htm, you can learn about your rights at work while pregnant.
Good luck.

I would definitely not quit yet. You will be in a much better position once they actually cut your hours, etc. At that point, discrimination will have occurred. It is illegal to discriminate on the basis of pregnancy. If they reduce your hours because you are pregnant, it is considered as discriminatory. You can read more about it at: www.eeoc.gov (http://www.eeoc.gov)
You can file a complaint with the state of Oklahoma against your employer. You can find their website at: http://www.youroklahoma.com/ohrc/rules.php
You may want to have a conversation with a plaintiff's attorney. They will usually not charge for the initial consultation. You don't need to retain one yet but they could advise you.
