I know ya'll are tired of me but one last scenerio and question please.

I received the NOA from MCS on 7/22/03 saying approved with validity
date till Nov. 20th, 2003.

I received letter from the MSC 8/4/03 saying it was sending the case to
the Consulate.

Sept. 28th Husband receives packet #3 and makes appointment the for
Oct 3 for medical. But notices its missing some pages but isn't
totally sure.

October 3 was told that he is in good health but his Blood Pressure is
way toooooo High and will not be sent the "Sealed Envelope" till he gets
it down and confirmed by Hubby's personal physcian.

Calls for an appointment but gets in two weeks early. Dr. tells him to
have his BP monitored and return on his regular scheduled appointment
date. Returns to his physcian on Oct. 28th. and finally gets meds.
Returns to physcian 2 weeks later and BP is down. The Immigration
physcian is notified and Keith notifies the consulate by slow mail that
he is missing information.

I contacted the Consulate by email that his packet is incomplete.
after a week of not receiving a reponse to his letter.

This is where I start to panic and ask on this board for information
concerning the checklist. On the checklist we find out about the Birth
Certificate and Police Clearance. He goes to town and takes the copy of
the check list someone was nice enough to post here to the RCMP. They
respond the next day. This is the same day he gets a replacement packet
from the Consulate (Last Thursday. I applied online for his birth
certificate on Wednesday. Friday he receives the medical approval from
the Immigration Dr.

He finds out after reviewing the pacet that he has to send off for his
Police Clearance. He sent that in on Friday. And checking today they
have his request. Thursday the 14th . I emailed the consulate again
thanking them for sending a complete packet and what was missing and
what was being completed. Yes I was nice.

Ok now for the questions.

1)What to do about the vailidity date.. Have we given the consulate
enough information and not worry about the date?? or do I need to
call them???

2) for those going thru Montreal on I 129F Spousal, he is reading that
he has to mail it all in and the check list. I say that others have
just checked off what they have in their hands and what they are
working on.

Wondering if there will be a Santa Clause this year.

K3 applicants seem to have to mail in more than K1's. My hubby mailed
in what the checklist said to return which was DS-230 part I, DS-156
(two copies, unsigned), and the checklist signed with the items that
applied to hubby checked off. I'm not sure if the forms are still the
same, but hubby's had the information on what to mail in just above the
signature area. Hubby brought everything else to the interview. He
made a photocopy of the checklist before returning it to the consulate
so we would be sure not to forget anything.

Why would they be concerned about blood pressure for chrissakes?!?!?!?
Sheesh-----if everything else was in order, what the *****did they want
from you---blood?

Blood pressure can be controlled with medication. This reminds me of the
person (sorry don't remember who you are) that asked about tobacco use,
and if they should be worried if they checked "yes' on the forms.

What's next---requiring people to quit smoking before they will issue a
visa???

Hi there,
I have a similar story as well (I am in the states, calif, and he is in
Victoria). Actually, the K-3 processing times are shorter than the K-1
so I would recommend that route. Also, that's what I am doing so I
understand the process better.

Follow up- He sent the DS 230 in along with the othe information that was asked for yesterday via Express Post.

The DS 230 was missing the backside of both pages of section 1 in the original packet.

Nothing to do now but wait for interview date, Birth Certificate and police clearance.

I miss my Hubby. :(

I think you can get your long form birth cert same day if you want to go
and wait it out at the govt office.. check the website.. same day was an
option for 35 bucks.

the police cert should only take about a week.. if he was convicted and
that remains it may take longer.. those 2 pieces of paper may be the
clincher so I would think about going same day for the birth cert as
mine took about 3-4 weeks

when I sent my p3 back, and then called them they confirmed that yes,
they had my packet and that it may take "upto 6 weeks for the interview"
and the call ended.. I was miffed.. 6 weeks?? grr..

interview letter came within a week or so and the date was 2 weeks
after.. so all told, it was less then 4 weeks from when they rcvd my
p3.. hope that helps.. it may still happen for you, fingers crossed gin.
