WEll, i am a young employee of a construction company in California, and i have had to work really hard to prove myself as a productive and successful secretary. After about a year of working at the same company, i noticed that i would get followed around the office by my boss, the ladies in my office also started to notice, but instead of conserning themselves with it they made jokes about it. WEll, things started to get worse, i wasn't able to get much work done in fear that if i stand in a hall way by my self or get out of my seat my boss would follow me and make a lot of sexual jesters as well as touch me in very uncomfortable ways. I have on numerous occasions told him how uncomfortable it made me, but left it at that. The situation still remains and i'm not sure what to do about it. I can't loose my job at this point in my life and i'm afraid of what will happen if i press charges against him. What do i do? I have been sexually assulted before in my life and i feel so worthless because of this situation. Please help!

What he is doing is illegal under both federal and California labor law. You can file a complaint against him with the California Division of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH). Their website may be found at: http://www.dfeh.ca.gov/

This law also prohibits retaliation on the basis of filing a complaint. You should talk with them right away.
