Finally today was my AOS intervew in SLC,Utah. It was supposed to be
at 11am,but we got there late becos of car problems, got in at
11:50pm, they called us in at 12noon, we were out by 12:10, with
unconditional IR-6 stamp!!

All he wanted from me, the alien was my passport and EAD card, my
husband was asked for his ID. They made us raise right hand and swear
to tell the truth b4 we started.I wasnt even asked for my fingerprint,
so i'm guessing they'll use the one from my EAD or FBI one.

He verified our address and wedding date, and asked me some questions
like if i had left the country since filing or ever been arrested. He
asked my husband my birthdate, and asked me for my husband's own.
Then he asked if we had any evidence, just showed him 2 affidavits
from family members, copy of health insurance and bank statement. He
read the affidavits but didnt really look at other stuff.
We are using a co-sponsor, so gave him their updated I-864. He checked
through it.
That was it. Stamped my passport, told me I could apply for
citizenship in 3yrs and said card should come soon, and laughed saying
it wasnt a promise as he didnt know when.

So I'm thruuuuuuuuuuuu till citizenship

after some messups with paperwork, I was finally able to file June
20,2002 from my F-1 (I-130/485),I-693,I-864
Fingerprinting appt Jan2003
AOS interview notification Aug 2003, rescheduled it because it was
close to 2nd wedding anniversary. They rescheduled it for Oct 2003.
I didnt need a new medical even though its been a year and a half
since i did mine.

I joined this newsgroup 2yrs ago, and I'm ever so grateful to all who
give their kind advice, especially MUdall and Rete, and earlier
SLCpeople like Bea.
I feel like i'm some kind of immigration expert thanks to y'all and
I've helped many friends who are going thru the same thing. I'll keep
lurking around here, and I'll post this on kamya.com
