I am a salary plus commission employee and I am being told that not only am I going to have to work 6 day's a week without an increase of pay but that my day's off are going to vary. Now, the later I can deal with but the extra work without pay has me wondering if that is legal or not, I do understand that the commission of my sales will help increase my pay but this still doesn't sound correct. I also work a 10 hour day and am not allowed to leave the building for lunch breaks and my Salary is based on a 8 hour work day being that is all I am paid if I were to take a day off.
I am from Michigan but the company I work for is a national company if that matters at all.

There isn't any legal reason why your employer can't make those requirements of you. As a salaried exempt employee, you are paid for the responsibility of your position, rather than for the number of hours. Your employer can dictate the number of hours you are to be at work.

On the other hand, as an exempt employee, you should not be docked for partial days of work, unless it is for an FMLA leave. In other words, if you have to leave work for an hour for a dental appointment, your employer cannot dock your pay (though they can take the time from your vacation, sick time or other paid time off benefit, assuming you have it).

Let me know if you have any other questions.
