I noticed in a recent thread, that people were posting expenses related
to the k-1. It came to my attention that some have stated how cheap they
got by. I think that is very bad. Some of our fiances come from very
impoverished regions and to not have the human and common decency to at
least send some boxes by ship ( which is very inexpensive) is just
beyond me.
LBC will ship a large box to the phil for around 50.00 freight by
ship, I am sure other countries have shippers that cater to their
particular place.
Some of these girls feel it is improper to ask for money, and will
say dont send any money. If you will take the initiative and send
money anyway, you will find how much they need and appreciate it.
They have family members who they would like to help out a little as
much as any reason.
I have spent an average of 1,200.00 per month on my fiance which is
not necessary, but this includes visits and hotels and etc.
I have spent at least 4,000.00 on her direct needs.
This is not a contest to see how much someone can spend and I know
others have spent far more than myself, but to get on here and
basically brag about how cheap you got off is just pretty bad. I
feel very sorry for the woman who has a man with his head that far
in his ***.
If this applies to you, get up off your behind and go send your
fiance/wife some money western union today and see about sending her
a box for Christmass.
You will feel much better and so will I

well, here is one big spender here:: (i will bet a Rush Limbaugh
fan as well)
he made the required minimum one visit and now is going to spend her one
way to america which is a must and the expenses for visa which is a
must. Only spending absolute required money. This post made me ill
1. I spent about $4000 to make 2 trips to Belarus to meet and get to
know her and her family.
I spent about $900 for one trip to Davao and stayed for a month.
2. I sent her about $75 per month over an 8 to 9 month period to
supplement her income (she was only making about $80 per month).
I tried to send Janette spending money but she would not accept
it. However
I will be paying for her medical. visa, trip here etc...
3. I will spend about $2500 legal fees and translation fees for
prenuptual agreement.
I will spend $0 on legal fees and would never ask Janette to sign a
prenup.
She would be heartbroken. The concept is nearly unheard of in the
Philippines.
4. I spent about $1000 for medical exam, document translation,
transportation, hotel, taxi, visa application fee and other expenses
to go to US Embassy in Warsaw for the interview.
I will spend about $350 for Janette to go to Manila, interview and get
medical.
5. The airline ticket to bring her to the US was $1250.
Janette's ticket from Manila to here will be $596 on Northwest
providing the
fares don't change too much before we actually buy the ticket.
They've been
steady for a year now.
culmination of a process that began in March of 2002. I am merely
pointing out that this is perhaps not a poor man's venture.

All I see is someone trying to help someone else out by proving that it
doesn't have to cost as much as they spent.
I also think that we could all do our bit by sending a little something
to people less fortunate than ourselves, but I don't see what you're
getting worked up about.

I have only met Mary Ann twice. Once for 10 days in the UK in May 02,
and for 12 days over Thanksgiving 02.
But where we have got to have known each other is online and over the
phone.Seems that money is not an issue in a relationship, it is how much
you are prepared to learn about what makes your partner tick. That is
priceless.

YOu can find them on Yehey search engine.

20 dollars is too much????
YOu can send gift certificates through fil-gifts
again 20 dollars..... is that too much???
You can send an LBC box for a total of 100 dollars including shipping
I am not rich, I sacrificed and have less so she can have something..
I would think that a person could spend 20 dollars for flowers for the

I was telling the cheapskate he could send flowers
when I got back from the phil last time, I organized several churches
together for a food drive and sold sponsorships for boxes.
We are going to send the boxes very soon so that they arrive for
christmass. The boxes take 30 days to get there.
We have approx 300 boxes to ship, and LBC has agreed to discount the
shipping some and this allows us to send even more boxes.

visited...no more cambio charges and she can get money at any time

Just my two cents....
Isn't the cost of all immigration paperwork the same for everyone?
I mean, INS/BCIS/USCIS has a set price for all their benefits, do
they not? Perhaps the medical fees might be different, though.
Thus, everyone going the K1 route should have about the same
immigration expenses.
Now, if more money is spent on visits to one another, if one financially
supports the other, cost of phone calls can vary widely, etc....then
that's totally a personal matter.
It's neither good nor bad how much money is spent on the
beneficiary's behalf, it's whatever it takes to bring our loved ones
here. Some people spend the "minimum" (whatever that is!), and some
people spend more....but the end result is the same, having our mates
by our sides :-)

The whole idea of needing to spend a certain amount of money on my
fiance brings my blood to a boil. My fiance feels loved simply by my
being with him and there for him when he needs it - we don't need
monetary proof of our love, and I think the same goes for most couples.
Now, quit bragging and start sharing that money with other unfortunates

All of you regular posters should be ashamed (I still love you though).
DO NOT FEED THE TROOL. This person is the same damm troll we have been
dealing with for months.
Do not respond to his/her/it posts in a serious manner that indicates
you are reading/considering his/her/it's comments. That only encourages
the little twit.
I do respond to trolls only to identify them and to tell newbies to
ingnore them. Do not consider any of their actual comments as anything
approaching reality. This allows them to ingratiate themselves before
dropping more bombs (my fiance is a porn star, I spoke to my
congressman, the wicked witch is dead, etc).
This is one sick man who is bringing over his hooker/mail order bride
from the Phillipines or Vietnam. This is a sick man who could not get a
woman in this country to consider even speaking to him, so he found one
from an extremely poor country. Pray for this poor woman, because a
life with him is not going to be any better than the deepest most
desperate poverty!!!!!!

the fed ex guy was just by the other day and I got a nice package from
my fiance. It was a collection of music CD's. It doesn't matter if
someone spends money, but it is nice to get something from your fiance.
I will be flying over to see her in 2 weeks and she has paid for the

I am going to buy some Christmass presents to bring back with me. I can
just take empty bags and fill them up and bring them back.
I think giving gifts is a nice thing to do and anyone who doesnt think
so is like the other guy said, just a stingy selfish person

Dang, I thought I was the only one who noticed that :D
Actually, a very fast read of Mr. Razor's posts led me to the same
conclusion the very first day. Especially when the picture of his
beloved was not the usual type of photo that loving fiances are known to
sometimes post, but an obvious publicity still downloadable from the
'Net by anyone. Since being paid for work in adult movies is still
prostitution (even under California law despite the case holding that
you could not bust the filmmaker for pandering due to 1st amendment
concerns), no normal person truly in love with their fiance and wanting
them to get a fiance visa would advertise so publicly and with such
pride their former (maybe still present if the pic is any indication)
profession knowing that the work he seems so proud of is a "Do Not Pass
Go, Do Not Collect a Fiance Visa" type of thing if it happened any time
in the recent past.
The few folks who have passed through the NG with real fiances that were
in their past engaged in prostitution work have never been so direct
stating it (probably out of respect, especially if it is something the
couple wants to leave behind in making a new life). Only someone
praying that someone on the NG would rise to the bait and express
indignation about the "fiance's" stated profession and criminality --
i.e. a troll -- would even go there on an NG where posters nearly come
to blows over things far more innocuous like the 10-foot pole problem or
a youthful criminal indiscretion. :) I'm actually proud that no one
ever did, myself included. It means we're learning.
Oh well. Going back to work until the next troll handle shows up :)

Certainly I can be accused of responding to troll posts. However, what
I am trying to do is to identify them, especially when they are trying
to act like normal posters. The most important reason to identify this
sick f**k is so that a (legitimate) new poster does not see their posts
and believe any value/truth in them.
However, I do see the argument for ignorning them altogether.
Unfortunately, thats pretty much impossible because someone is always
going to respond.

I confess, I too have given the troll a bit of attention other than
outing him to others. I just can't help myself........sometimes you just
have to give them a verbal slap into the next post just to feel
better..........especially with our current imbecile...he makes it so
darned easy. I will try and do better ;-)....I promise.

Everyone deals with it their own way. There is no right or wrong. The
only bad guy here is the troll(s). If we get mad at each other because
we do/don't respond then he has really won. I don't like to think I'm
irritating other members, but I also do not accept their censorship.
Sometimes, I am not in the least tempted to reply. Other times it's an
overwhelming compulsion that cannot be stopped. As of this moment I'm
officially in my "ignore the troll mode."
ray6, I also blame your mother. :D

Is it one of those fake tatoos? I used to love to put those on and smoke
candy cigarettes. It really did not seem right to think of Delilah, the
girl next door, as my "old lady" otherwise.
I am not trying to be preachy. What I do want to point out is that we
act very differently at the super market then when we scream at each
other in traffic.
But then, as a commuter, it is true that I have studied the rituals of
the Jivaro to save on closet space ......

The other day in our discussion (I use the term loosely). People
kept telling you about the troll and you said "I prefer to search the
archive." Or some such nonsense. You dismissed everything everyone
said because we couldn't prove it. You and I both know that we can't
find these posts because the "whack job" changes them so fast and
there is no record of them. Earlier before that, Angel gave you sage
advice in private and you ignored her. Why would we all gang up on
one member and make up stories? Why are you trying to portray the
troll as the victim here? You are playing games. If you are not
"the" troll you are just as bad. You're being disingenuous in order
to incite.
The other day BritishinOhio received a lot of negative feedback for
his particular stance on a certain subject. However, nobody called
him a troll. Even though what he was saying was unpopular, it was
genuine. We are not this vicious, unfair, jumping to conclusion,
going off half cocked, gang of meanies, you accuse us of being.

The original poster sounds a lot like Seadave from Seattle in the sense
that he seems to want to gloat about how much he has sent to his fiancee
in the Philippines. Might not be, but there are several equal
reflections of sheer stupidity in both the writing and the point trying
to be made. In the original point, which was deleted via using the edit
feature to erase and re-type everything, he makes it clear that he,
"has spent at least 4,000.00 on her direct needs". Does her "direct
needs" mean bringing her lifestyle to that of the average American? Does
this just pertain to the Philippines? I have been there several times
and know that if he really send $4k then about 25-50 of her family
members will be living well for several years to come. Did everyone,
even her fifth generation cousins need the color television? Nanette
sends her family about $150.00 a month which takes care of all the real,
"Direct needs" and affords some comfort items such as movie rentals,
extra socks, etc. We ship LBC every month, ($65) and can fit a lot into
the box... No color televisions needed!
There is nothing wrong with people sharing what the costs of their K1
experience was. Nothing wrong with sharing with others how much airfare
was, hotels in certain areas, etc as in my case those who shared with me
helped me save. But when it comes down to what one feels they need to be
a Sugar Daddy and support another person, that is really no ones
business other than your own. I would only ask the simple question: Are
you earning your fiancee's love or trying to buy it?

I think I am going to agree with you. My motivation did become winning
the point and to incite a reaction is going to be a likely side effect.
In the first thread I could have stated my case and respectfully
disagreed and ended it. I didn't do that. On the first thread it had
already become hostile with DCMark when I saw you come to his defense.
It certainly was not productive on my part.
I did become a little irritated when I saw this post and the
attention that it was given. I realized it was not a disagreement on
how to handle the troll because it is apparent to me people like the
troll posts. I wish people would find another place to do it but
that is life.
I still don't understand the upside to insulting anyone or the
attaction of ridiculing the troll because it will just make more of the
same and if you do it enough it becomes second nature. However I
certainly am not contributing anything worthwhiile at this point either
and to continue with it makes me a hypocrite. I conceed the point.
