Is there a law that allows employees to take time off for doctors appointments without losing any wages during working hours?

I think time off for doctors would actually require you to either to take personal, vacation, or sick day leave. I would ask HR but I'm pretty sure you would need to take thos leave. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to legally get days off for doctor's visit? :)

Federal law does not cover time off for doctors. You should refer to your company's Human Resources policies for guidance on this particular issue.
