undefinedundefinedundefinedi live in oklahoma,i work on a drilling rig i work 7 days 12 hours then i am off 7 days i suffer from a herniated disk which began to bother me a day or two after i started my 7 days off i went the the chiroprator and got poped and crack and felt like this had fixed the problem but 1 or two days later it began to hurt again i went back to the chiropactor he poped me again but still had some pain i was thinking i would be ok and could go back to work i drive two and a half hours to where the rig is i got almost there when the pain really hit then i decided i needed to try to make it back home and made it back to norman which 20 miles from my home,i could not go any farther i called a freind to come get me i could not move my hips or legs without tremendas pain i called my wife when istarted back and ask her to call my boss to let him know that i would not be to work today.i told them that i didnt think this was a work related injury because it didnt stsrt hurting while i was at work like it did a day or two later.how ever after talking to the doctor this type of injury people are unawear of when it happens untill it starts pushing against a nerve in your back,now i have be two pay periods without a checkand going to sergery and looking at 6 to 8 weeks before going back to work ,i really dont want to file a workmans comp claim but i will need some kind how income what should do?

See if your company has you'all on some type of mandatory disability policy that maybe you do not know about. In your line of work, it is possible. If you have diability insurance, then you should file a claim for coverage.
