i was called by my manager and told that on my free time before i came into work that i had to go to another store to pick up things our store needed. i was not compensated for this, and i am curious as to if it is illegal or not in the state of oregon to do that. thanks.

Under federal wage and hour regulations, your compensation is to begin once you reach the place where you are to pick up the supplies. Your drive to your normal location from that pick-up place is to be considered work time.
