I was recently injured while working and have not been clocking out while going to the doctor. My employer told me, "We need to tighten up around here because of the economy. We need you to start clocking out while you go to the doctor. Our insurance is already paying for your doctors visits. Thanks for understanding." Should i be clocking out while i go to the doctor for my injury that happened at work??? Thanks for any info.

Since you mentioned "clocking out", I assume you're a nonexempt employee?

Nebraska law does not require employers to pay for time spent at doctor's appointments, even if it's due to a work-related injury. Do you have sick time you can use?

No such thing where i work. You get one paid week of vacation wether your there 1 year or 20 years. Those are the benefits of working with family i guess. Thanks for the info.

Can you make your doctor's appointments for when you are not working? (before/after work or weekends for example)
