My ex only pays me $91.00 a month for 3 kids does that sound right?? My attorney says thats what the disomaster says he should be paying me and I should be lucky since hes not working. He has them 25% of the time. He doesnt work due to surgery and lives with and off his new wife whos a nurse. She owns and big 4 bedroom house and has cars, he lives very nice. While I struggle paying bills and stuffing myself and 3 children in a one bedroon apt., cause thats all I can afford. Oh and by the way I only make $10.50. Is this fair?? Any suggestions???

Well if Dad is not working due to medical reason's then you are and only should be allowed to go after Dad for support. Would it be fair if his wife had to support children who are not her own? No thats not fair and thats just my opinon.
My husband and I were not married before he had a CS order against him, even though I am the "bread winner" in the house she did not get any of my money. That is probably why she didn't because we were not married. Now we have the child because she is unfit to raise him and so the order was terminated. I guess my point and question is was your ex and his wife married at the time the support order was issued?

That's more than just your opinion. That is law. ;) The legal stranger has no legal obligation to support children who are not hers. EVER.

OP,
Yes, it is fair. Child support is a basic algebraic equation. Just because you ~feel~ he should pay more does not legal precedent make.

I want sure if marriage made the difference so I didnt want to give her bad advice. It does make sense that the wife should not have to pay for children that are not hers but some times the law doesnt make sense. :o
