hi .actually i need some information regarding overtime not paid from last two years,so wht to do next !! one of my relatives worked at a restaurant .the employer first used them for two years by telling that he will buy a business in partnership with them.but every time he finds a new store & tells them its not good location ,or its sale is less(profits are less) & tells them that he will look for some other good business. he didn't even give them raise for two years. so now they broke up & my relatives want to appeal against employer regarding no raise & no overtime even after working more than 80 hours per week.they also have their pay stubs as proof.so what we need to do next .. anybody please help . thanks sincerely.

Raises aren't required unless they are guaranteed in a binding employment contract.

If your relative was a non-exmept employee (I'm assuming so), they can sue former employer or they can file a wage claim with their state's DOL. A non-exempt employee must be paid for all hours worked.
