My ex-boyfriend and I were together 3 years. We've lived together at this location for 6 months. He was unfaithful, and I kicked him out. He packed up and moved to Florida. He is now saying that he is coming back. I can't get him to understand that I no longer want a cheater. So,

How can I get him off the lease, so in case he shows up at my door, I won't have to let him in?
I am afraid that the situation may escalate to possibly calling the police, and I am so afraid that they may say he gets to move back in.

He has rights to the unit while the lease holds.

You might be able to talk the landlord into removing you from the lease on that unit and into another unit he owns somewhere, but you might have to pay on both units until either the boyfriend pays the entire rent himself, or finds a roommate.
