Hi - I just found this site because I need help!

Here's the situation my fiancee is in - short story is that he is a supervisor and his subordinate directly defied him 3 times in a row. He tried to correct this employee's behavior and got angry with him. Because of this (for reasons I cannot fathom) my fiancee has been taken off the schedule and hasn't been allowed to work for over a week.

He has not been reprimanded in any way. He has not been formally told that he is suspended. The owner is not talking to him about the situation, not allowing him to work and has not/will not terminate him. My fiancee has not resigned.

Can they do this to him? Can he consider himself terminated after a certain time and file for unemployment?

Thanks.

If he has been taken off the schedule & hasn't worked for over a week, he should file for unemployment ins.
